Core Usage

  1. Select Text & Right-Click: Highlight the sentence or paragraph you want to cite, then right-click on the selected text and choose “Find Citation with Scholaread” from the context menu.

Managing Citations and Formatting

  • Change Citation Style: In the drop-down menu at the top of the Scholaread sidebar, you can switch between various citation styles like APA, GB/T 7714, and more with a single click.
  • Bibliography: Your reference list is automatically updated whenever you add or remove a citation, so you don’t need to manage it manually.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  • Q1: I can’t find the add-in in Word after installing it. What should I do?
    • A: First, try restarting Word. If the issue persists, go to Insert > Add-ins > My Add-ins to see if Scholaread is listed there. If not, please try installing it again.
  • Q2: Nothing happens or a connection error appears.
    • A: Please check if the Scholaread desktop client is running. The add-in needs to communicate with the client to work. Try restarting the client and then try again.
